I've been birding Marine Park SW for a while now and I'm amazed at the neglect the city shows the park. I've been collecting photos of abandoned cars on my walks there--some cars have been removed, only to be "replaced" by others. There is one obvious one on the beach at the mouth of Gerritsen Creek and it just sits there--someone at the district level must know it's there and someone just doesn't care--not necessarily the same people. My blog Birds & Words http://birdsandwords-larryz.blogspot.com/ has many pictures of dumped cars, including a couple I just found overturned in the phragmites. Feel free to use them on your blog or for any documentary evidence to help preserve the park.
